I enjoy match 3 games and have played quite a few over the years. This one holds my attention longer than most because it has an entertaining story line. This game has just enough challenge to keep me interested without frustrating me (too much). Its a very enjoyable way to pass the time.

Didnt expect to enjoy it, but I do!! Showed it to my hubby and he plays it too! I love the quests and skills and ship building! All great features! I love the treasure bonus levels. Some of the regular levels can get monotonous but they definitely are challenging! My only suggestion would be to add more different kinds of levels! Could even be a different kind of puzzle game. But I love the pirate theme and love the game!

This game is just different enough from other match three games to be interesting instead go dull. The graphics are well done and game play is just complex enough to hold ones attention. If I have any complaint it would be a minor one: that the game cannot be players in landscape mode.

Bought this iPhone app because I love the Monkey Island games by Ron Gilbert. This game, though obviously very different, did not disappoint. Still so fun to come back to and very entertaining.

What I cannot figure out is why only sometimes icloud or gamecenter gives me a choice of 2 different level pirates? I have to start from scratch 99.98% of the time and I play daily! I will get up to level 12-13 per game and die bc not enough gold to stay alive, which then I start from level 1! I hope someone can tell me what Im doing wrong! And then at maybe 10PM I might turn it on and a level 4 and a level 12 pirate pop up and I can choose which one, BUT this ONLY happened 2-3 times since I started playing a few months ago. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING THAT IM ABOUT TO QUIT, :(

My bf got me into playing this game and I have been hooked ever since! Love the cute sense of humor throughout and love the upgrades system as well. My only drawback would be having to start from the beginning if you die...unless you have enough gold to stay in the game or real money to buy gold. It gets tedious since Ive had to start over 12 times! I lose all my progress! :(

I rarely purchase apps, but I bought this game sight unseen based on the fact that one of the designers is Ron Gilbert of Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island. Its a match 3 but better. The direction you swipe to make your match determines where your character moves and where the new tiles slide in from. Which is super helpful since you have to avoid fighting the enemies until youve accumulated enough power swords. AND who doesnt love a pirate shanty.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it gave me tons of hours of fun, Ive recommended it to almost all my friends and to my wifw too, and now she is hooked to it just like I was.

Your current match 3 puzzle games are going to take a back seat once you get your hands on Scurvy Scallywags. Its not just a score combo and earn points game, its a killer adventure! What really takes this game to the next level is the customer service Beep Games delivers. Im sure youre going to enjoy this game as much, if not more than all of us have.
